What is the importance of using natural and organic ingredients where possible?

Natural and certified organic ingredients provide the best opportunity for skin health and overall health for your body. As skincare products are absorbed dermally, using natural derived and certified organic ingredients avoids the potential harm that can be caused by artificial ingredients and their by-products. Our conscious use of natural and certified organic ingredients prevents the absorption of toxic ingredients, including fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and filler ingredients.

Are Skinbience products Sulphate and Soap base free?

Our products are gentle and are a sulphate and soap free formula. Instead our cleansers are coconut based to avoid skin irritation on even sensitive skins. Our cleansers are enriched with Biolipids for moisture to maintain the skin’s natural oil balance, enhanced with nourishing Vitamins and Antioxidant rich ingredients to fight free radicals. Our cleansers will not strip the skin’s natural oil balance.

Avoid harsh products with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate which is the foaming agent in bubble bath and also used as an ingredient in floor cleaning products.

Are Skinbience products vegan?

Yes, Skinbience products are vegan.

Are Skinbience products cruelty free?

Yes, Skinbience products are cruelty free. We do not test Skinbience on any animals, nor do our products contain any animal products.

Do Skinbience products contain synthetic fragrances?

No – Skinbience products are naturally fragranced. We use noo artificial fragrances or colourings. The colour of our products is due to the biological colour of the ingredients.

Where are Skinbience products made?

Can I use Skinbience products during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Skinbience suggests that changing up your skin care routine during pregnancy should be done in consultation with a skin therapist who can help you select the most suitable Skinbience products to manage your hormonal skin concerns or changes. As skin can be more responsive during pregnancy or breastfeeding we suggest making small incremental changes rather than adding highly active products to your daily regime.

There is mixed consensus about topical use of Vitamin A during pregnancy or breastfeeding, however no actual studies indicate topical Vitamin A may pose a risk to an unborn baby. Our precautionary suggestion is to avoid the topical application of products that may contain Vitamin A.

What is the shelf life of Skinbience products after being opened?

The shelf life on Skinbience products is 2 years after opening, with the exception of our Vitamin C Serum which is 1 year.

Is the packaging recyclable?

Yes, all Skinbience packaging is recyclable. We are conscious about the environment and choose not to separately box each product to conserve the planets resources and energy.

What does the term Cosmeceuticals mean?

The term is a reference of standard for products which are clinically tested and proven to contain biologically active ingredients that are able to penetrate into deeper layers of the skin.

The products when topically applied result in clinical benefits to achieve noticeable changes in the skin. The types of skin improvements may vary from benefits such as radiant glowing skin with an even tone and smooth surface through to improving pigmentation and fine lines attributed to hormones, solar damage and the ageing process.

Why might there be a slight initial skin response when first using an active ingredient?

Cosmeceutical strength products are a professional grade and it is not uncommon for the skin to experience a slight response to higher grade products when first introduced. It is important to use the correct amount of product as overuse can initiate skin response. For most of our products the correct dose per application is approximately pea size. Your trained salon professional will be your best guide as to the suitable products for your skin type and concern and how to incrementally introduce active products into your regime.

A skin response may include some dryness and light flaking. If you experience a response, discontinue the use of the products and recommence using the range in two weeks. Slowly integrate the products into your regime. Build up the usage of products at a rate of an extra day of use each week as the skin tolerates the new products.
Always consider what other products you may be using and any allergies and medical conditions.

How are my goods packaged and shipped to me?

We will dispatch your order within 48 hours of receipt of payment in full for the relevant product/s. If the product you have purchased is out of stock, the order may be withheld until the ordered item is in stock (at our sole discretion). If we foresee a delay in delivery of your chosen product/s, we will either: Advise you of the delay and the next availability of the product and offer to send any current stocked and ordered products immediately;

  • Or, advise you of a suitable alternative product if possible and send such products immediately if agreed to by you;
  • Or, advise you of the delay and next availability of the product and hold all product/s and send such product/s out as a complete order once all products are in stock.

Goods will be posted via epost contract with Australia Post. This is a traceable post system. If you have not received your products within a reasonable amount of time please contact us at admin and we can endeavor to locate the whereabouts of your parcel.
